TEAM NEWS | Bowyer makes changes for Charlton’s tie at Mansfield Town

Lee Bowyer has made a number of changes to his starting XI for Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup first-round tie at Mansfield Town.

The Addicks boss has taken the opportunity to rest some of his players who have featured heavily of late and handed opportunities to other members of his squad.

Academy graduate Dillon Phillips starts in goal and he will be protected by a back three of Anfernee Dijksteel, Darren Pratley and Naby Sarr.

Toby Stevenson, who of course scored an incredible hat-trick in his only other first-team appearance against Stevenage last month, and Mark Marshall are wing-backs.

Youngsters George Lapslie and Taylor Maloney line-up in midfield, as does Jamie Ward and up front Karlan Grant leads the line with Nicky Ajose.

On the bench, there is some welcomed news as Billy Clarke is named in a matchday squad for the first time in 11 months. Jed Steer, Albie Morgan, Tariqe Fosu and Reeco Hackett-Fairchild are also available in reserve.

Charlton: Phillips, Dijksteel, Pratley, Sarr, Stevenson, Lapslie, Maloney, Marshall, Ward, Ajose, Grant.

Subs: Steer, Morgan, Fosu, Clarke, Hackett-Fairchild.
