Conor Coady has expressed his pride after making his 500th club appearance in professional football.
The former England international hit the milestone during the Addicks' Easter Monday fixture against Watford.
"It was a really, really proud day for me and my family," said Coady. "My little boy was there, my mum, dad and brother were there and it was special. I wanted to hit it and get to it, it's a good marker.
"I want loads more, I'm going to be honest. Once you get to it you want to go again and go for a load more. Getting to that mark was a big thing for me. The lads gave me a shirt with 500 on which was a real special thing and I thank them so much for that because I didn't expect it."
Coady was forced off with a head injury in the closing stages at Vicarage Road after being hit by a shot.
"My head's alright, I've had that question a few times over the last 10 days or so," he said. "I feel good, I feel better. It was a bit of a surreal experience that's never happened to me before. One minute you're enjoying playing footy and then the next minute you're getting woken up with loads of people above your head asking you questions you should answer."
Looking ahead to Saturday's trip to Hillsborough, the 33-year-old said: "To go there and get a performance and a result is the most important thing. We have to put a performance on to get a result there. I've been there a million times before and it's such a tough place to go - take away where they are in the league, take away what they're doing.
"There are young lads who are playing at this moment in time who are trying to make their way in the game. They're enthusiastic, they've got a way of playing and we need to go there and show how we do things to get a result."
