Oskar - Advanced Centre

-

Having developed and impressed in CACT’s football sessions, Oskar earned the opportunity to train with Charlton Athletic’s under-seven pre-academy.

Oskar first got involved with CACT at the age of four, regularly attending Fundamental and Technical Challenge sessions alongside Holiday Courses. His consistent participation allowed coaches to track his development over time, with his performances in CACT’s Advanced Centre then leading to an opportunity to step up into the club’s pre-academy.

Discussing Oskar’s progress, CACT coach Josh said: “Oskar has gone from strength to strength while taking part in our sessions, and he has deserved his opportunity to train with the pre-academy. He showed from the very beginning that he had a love for the game and that has been shown in every session he attends, always leaving with a big smile and telling me how many goals he scored!

“We are excited to see how much more Oskar can develop with us, and hope that he can continue to grow as a person and a footballer.”

Oskar’s dad, Byron, added: “It has been great to watch Oskar’s progression with CACT, since he first started at just four and a half years old. He began by attending the Fundamental and Technical Challenge sessions, alongside regular involvement in Holiday Courses.

“That consistent involvement allowed Charlton scouts to observe his development from the very beginning. The combination of these sessions led to him being invited into the under-six Advanced Centre as the group transitioned into under-sevens.

“After training with that group for a few months, he was then invited to join the under-seven pre-academy, where he is still training now. It has been a fantastic learning experience and a great opportunity for him to continue developing his skills within the Charlton pathway.”
